Hippocampal mIPSCs are regulated by BDNF. Sample epochs of synaptic activity recorded from a cultured hippocampal neuron in the presence of CNQX, APV, and TTX (see Materials and Methods). The epochs are taken during superfusion with control Krebs’ solution (top), 5 min after the application of 200 ng/ml BDNF (middle), and 25 min after the initial application of BDNF (bottom). Calibration: 50 pA, 1 sec.
