Supplemental Figure 1. (A) Representative blots of hippocampal homogenates immunoprecipitated with anti-ƒÒ2/3 antibody and reacted with a specific anti-phospho-serine/threonine antibody (top) and reblotted with an anti-ƒÒ2/3 antibody (bottom) showed that hypoxia-induced seizures decreased phosphorylation of serine/threonine residues in GABAAR ƒÒ2/3 subunits. (B) Histogram from pooled data shows that the phosphorylation of serine/threonine residues in GABAAR ƒÒ2/3 subunits was significantly decreased at 1 hour following hypoxia-induced seizures (64.6¡Ó5.1% of the control, n=6, p<0.001), but no difference in total protein. The ratio of signal intensity of anti-phospho-serine/threonine antibody:signal intensity of anti-ƒÒ2/3 antibody was calculated.
