Activation of Protease-Activated Receptor-1 Triggers Astrogliosis after Brain Injury
J. Neurosci. Nicole et al. 25: 4319

Supplemental data

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • supplemental material - Online Supplemental figure: Mechanism and consequences of PAR-1 activation in astrocytes. The mechanisms by which PAR-1 activation stimulates glial proliferation and astrogliosis appear related to the ability of PAR-1 receptor signaling to induce sustained ERK activation through cooperation of multiple G protein-linked signaling pathways. Sustained ERK activation increases astrocytic cyclin-D1, which stimulates proliferation.
