Neural Coupling Binds Visual Tokens to Moving Stimuli
J. Neurosci. Rose and Büchel 25: 10101

Supplemantal data

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • supplemental material - Supplementary Figure. Location of area hMT with respect to the EEG electrodes in one representative subject. The fMRI activation was evoked by comparing apparent motion in our stimulus (Figure 1) to flashing dots. The structural MRI was acquired while the volunteer was still wearing the electrode cap. Electrode positions were marked with oil-filled capsules that are clearly visible on this T1 weighted image. This MRI was then surface-rendered and fMRI activations projected within the brain.
  • supplemental material - Supplementary Movie. Animation of the stimulus as used in the experiment depicted in Figure 1 e & f. The initial frames of the movie show only two dots on the right moving up - down. After a while the whole quartet is displayed and usually motion is perceived vertically. After some time, only the two lower dots are shown moving right - left. Again after some time the whole quartet is shown. Now volunteers usually perceive dots as moving horizontally. Note that the first and the second presentation of the whole quartet are absolutely identical.
