Figure 1. High magnification confocal images of cortical sections electroporated at E15 and analyzed at E18. In all cases, brains were electroporated with plasmids encoding GFP and either an empty vector or DN-MEK, the C/EBPβ T/A mutant (T/A), A-C/EBP, or CA-C/EBPβ. All sections were analyzed for expression of GFP (green) and (a) the HA tag on DN-MEK, (b) the neuronal marker HuD, (c) the neuronal marker NeuN, or (d) the proliferation marker Ki67 (all in red). In a-d, the left panels are the GFP immunostaining, the center panels the relevant marker, and the right panels the merge. Arrows indicate cells that coexpress GFP and the relevant marker, while arrowheads indicate GFP-positive cells that are negative for the marker. Space bars = 10μm.
