Representation of Head-Centric Flow in the Human Motion Complex
J. Neurosci. Goossens et al. 26: 5616

Supplemental data

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • supplemental material - Supplemental Material Movie sequences show the initial part of the simulated self-motion conditions (fixation, consistent and opponent). In these simulations the head-centric speed of the rotational flow component is either 0 deg/s (consistent), 4 deg/s (fixation), or 8 deg/s (opponent). The retino-centric rotational flow speed in each simulation was 4 deg/s. To keep track of the retinal motion of a single dot, we present one dot of the cloud (at 10 m initial simulated distance, in the same direction as the yellow fixation point) with a red color. Note that the relative motion between the yellow and the red dot is identical in the three motion conditions. In the experiments the red dot was not presented.
