  • supplemental material - Supplemental Figure 1. Non-parametric correlation for CMA. This plot is similar to the scatter / correlation plots in Fig. 3 & 4 in the main text, except that here the level of BOLD enhancement and onset judgements are now ranked, such that outlier effects would be minimised. It can be seen that the ranks for the two measures correlate very well. This is the basis of the non-parametric correlation. In other words, even if we ignore the exact magnitude (and thus minimize the influence of extreme outliers), subjects who show higher degree of neural modulation do in fact tend to show earlier judgements of movement onset.
