Slit Proteins Regulate Distinct Aspects of Retinal Ganglion Cell Axon Guidance within Dorsal and Ventral Retina
J. Neurosci. Thompson et al. 26: 8082

Supplemental data

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • supplemental material - Supplemental Fig. 1. In slit-deficient mice few axons project into the outer layers of dorsal retina and the organisation of the ventral OFL is normal. Coronal sections through dorsal retina (A, B, E, F, I, J) and confocal images at the level of the ventral OFL (C, D, G, H, K, L) of anti-≤-tubulin stained E13.5 (A-D), E14.5 (E-H) and E16.5 (I-L) control (WT or slit1 -/-; A, C, E, G, I, K) and slit1/2 -/- (B, D, F, H, J, L) retinas. At all ages the organisation of the OFL in the ventral region of the slit1/2 -/- mice is indistinguishable from that in control retinas (C, D, G, H, K, L) and few axons extend into the outer layers of dorsal retina (A, B, E, F, I, J). Bar, 125 µm (A, B, E, F, I, J), 100 µm (C, D), 200 µm (G, H, K, L).
