Complete Dissociation of Motor Neuron Death from Motor Dysfunction by Bax Deletion in a Mouse Model of ALS
J. Neurosci. Gould et al. 26: 8774

Supplemental data

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • supplemental material - Supplementary Figure 1. MNs in end-stage Bax WT/SOD1 and Bax KO/SOD1 animals fail to exhibit obvious morphological signs of apoptosis. Low-magnification (left column) and high-magnification (right column) photomicrographs of Nissl-stained lumbar spinal cord sections from end-stage Bax WT/SOD1 and Bax KO/SOD1 mutant mice and from age-matched Bax WT and Bax KO mice show that remaining MNs in both mutants are atrophic but not pyknotic. Scalebars = 100μm.
