Deep Layer Somatosensory Cortical Neurons Initiate Spike-and-Wave Discharges in a Genetic Model of Absence Seizures
J. Neurosci. Polack et al. 27: 6590

Supplemental Data

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • supplemental material - Supplemental Figure S1. The hyperactivity of deep layer neurons of the focus is not due to an increase in their membrane input-output relationship. Voltage responses (top traces) to suprathreshold current pulses of +0.4 nA and +0.6 nA (bottom traces), applied from nearly same membrane potentials, in deep layer neurons of focus, GAERS motor cortex (MoCx) and somatosensory cortex (SoCx) of normal Wistar rats. The mean firing frequencies calculated during the first 100 ms are indicated.
