Complement Induction in Spinal Cord Microglia Results in Anaphylatoxin C5a-Mediated Pain Hypersensitivity
J. Neurosci. Griffin et al. 27: 8699

Supplemental Data

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • supplemental material - Supplemental Figure 1. All the genes regulated in all three models (SNI, CCI, and SNL) the dorsal horn are plotted. Data are shown as a function of time post injury SNI (red circles), CCI (green triangles), or SNL (blue crosses). Each plot is on a log base two scale with origin at zero. Below each plot, the maximum difference from the origin is indicated, along with the gene symbol. The number in parentheses is the maximum difference converted to a linear ratio scale. Within each functional class, genes are sorted from maximum up-regulation at left, to maximum down-regulation at right.
  • supplemental material - Supplemental Figure 2. Effect of genetic complement ablation on behavioral pain hypersensitivity. Statistics reported are Welch two-sample t-tests comparing area under the response-time curve. (A) Paw withdrawal duration in response to pinprick stimulus as a function of time after SNI in C5 deficient mice (open circles) or congenic wild-type mice (filled squares). (t=2.33, d.f=14, P < 0.05) (B) Paw withdrawal duration in response to pinprick stimulus as a function of time after SNI in C6 deficient rats (open circles) or control rats (filled squares). (t=1.02, d.f.= 14, P=0.32)
  • supplemental material - Supplemental Table 1. All regulated probe sets. Columns A-D: Gene identification data. Columns F-H: Models achieving significant regulation, represented by 1. Columns K-AW: Relative expression data (log base two scale) for all arrays used in the expression analysis; K-M (Naives); N-Y (SNI); Z-AK (CCI); AL-AW (SNL).
  • supplemental material - Supplemental Table 2. Regulated genes in order of average regulation across all models. Within these tables only the top 100 (DH) are shown, repeated Unigene IDs are removed such that only the most strongly regulated probe set is present. Gross regulation is defined as average (SNI, CCI, SNL data) / Average (Naïve data). These data are shown in log 2 scale (column BA), linear scale (column BB) and linear scale with decreased expression relative to naive expressed as 1/x (column BC). Red text in column BC and (-) in column BD represent down regulated genes.
