Functional Axonal Regeneration through Astrocytic Scar Genetically Modified to Digest Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycans
J. Neurosci. Cafferty et al. 27: 2176

Supplemental Data

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • supplemental material - Figure S1: Architecture of glial scar. Photomicrographs of wild type (A) and Tg-ChABC:3 (B) and Tg-ChABC:4 (C) showing GFAP-IR astrocyte process alignment after dorsal hemisection. The intersections of horizontal and vertical yellow stippled lines (A) illustrate the locations where 20 μm2 boxes where superimposed onto the photomicrographs. The number of astrocytic processes that crossed the vertical and horizontal axis of the boxes was counted for 5 sections from each animal. Scale bar = 500μm.
