In the article “Postnatal Neurogenesis and Gliogenesis in the Olfactory Bulb from NG2-Expressing Progenitors of the Subventricular Zone,” by Adan Aguirre and Vittorio Gallo, which appeared on pages 10530-10541 of the November 17, 2004 issue, the authors have been informed that a series of tests performed by The Jackson Laboratory (Bar Harbor, ME) have shown that the fluorescent protein in mouse strain Tg(ActbEYFP)1nagy/J (stock #003772) is not yellow fluorescent protein (YFP), as originally reported, but rather green fluorescent protein (GFP). Therefore, EYFP should read EGFP throughout the article. The authors want to emphasize that this change in the reporter gene does not affect the interpretation and conclusions of their experiment.
