About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover picture: The monkey striatum contains intrinsic dopaminergic neurons. Three-dimensional reconstructions of confocal optical sections show a tyrosine hydroxylase-immunoreactive neuron with varicose dendrites (top) and a neuron double-labeled for tyrosine hydroxylase and the dopamine transporter (bottom). Both neurons were immunostained in 40 µm sections of monkey brain. For details, see the article by Betarbet et al., in this issue (pp. 6761-6768).
