Cover picture: Confocal microscopic reconstruction of substantia gelatinosa (SG) cell (pseudocolored green) patch clamped and subsequently filled with neurobiotin and visualized with streptavidin-fluorescein. Reconstructed from 75 optical planes from three adjacent coronal sections. The sections were counterstained with propidium iodide to label nuclei of dorsal horn cells.
