Cover picture: Pseudocolor image taken from a sequence of images of a living cortical neuron that had been microinjected with fluorescently labeled tubulin. This image was captured 12 hr after injection after multiple branches had developed from the large paused growth cone. Microtubules are heavily concentrated in the cell body and the axon but have also invaded the longer branches. The higher-fluorescence intensities are indicated by white, red, and yellow, and the lower intensities are indicated by blue and purple. For details, see the article by Dent et al., in this issue (pages 8894-8908).
