Cover picture: Laminins are expressed in multiple compartments in the mature retina. Confocal image of immunoreactivity for the laminin 4 (red), 2 (green), and 3 (blue) chains suggests the presence of laminin 14 (423) in the interphotoreceptor matrix and inner plexiform layer; overlap of the three signals is purple to white. The laminin 2 chain is also present in retinal vasculature. The red signal in the distal interphotoreceptor matrix is autofluorescence from photoreceptor outer segments.
