Cover picture: Astrocytes incorporate the chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan neurocan into a pericellular, substrate-bound extracellular matrix in vitro. Living astrocytes were labeled for neurocan (red), fixed in methanol, and then labeled for glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP; green).
