Cover Picture: A theme map of computationally classified cells superimposed on an image of the rabbit retinal ganglion cell layer. The hues encode statistical molecular phenotype classes (14 ganglion cell and 3 amacrine cell classes) derived from AMPA receptor activation strengths and intrinsic molecular signatures. The 566 × 472 µm "phase" image was acquired from a 250 nm resin section through the ganglion cell layer. For details, see the article by Marc and Jones in this issue (pages 413-427).
