About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover picture: Three-dimensional rendering of a stack of 30 confocal sections through a cerebellar Purkinje cell, showing the Golgi complex immunolabeled with an antibody against GODZ, a Golgi-specific DHHC domain protein. GODZ acts as a neuron-specific thioacyl transferase that palmitoylates the cytoplasmic loop of the γ2 subunit of GABAA receptors and is implicated in their trafficking to synapses. For details, see the article by Keller et al. in this issue (pages 5881-5891).
