Cover legend: The hippocampal neuroepithelium of embryonic day 14.5 embryos was electroporated in utero with pCAG-RFP plasmid. Confocal images of the hippocampus were acquired 2 months later (on postnatal day 60). Transfected pyramidal neurons (red) were found in the CA3 and CA1 regions of this hippocampus. Cell nuclei were labeled with Hoechst dye (blue). For more information, see the article by Navarro-Quiroga et al. in this issue (pages 5007–5011).
