Cover legend: A trace of calcium activity in the thermosensory AFD neuron in Caenorhabditis elegans, recorded while the freely moving worm navigated a spatial temperature gradient. The trace itself follows the worm's crawling motion on the gradient, and the color indicates instantaneous calcium activity: red is active, blue is inactive. For more information, see the article by Clark et al. in this issue (pages 6083–6090).
