  • Primer names are given in single letter amino acid notation. Degeneracies in the primer sequences are indicated by single letters: Y = C or T; M = A or C; R = A or G; W = T or A; H = A, C or T; D = A, G, or T; I = inosine. The oligonucleotides corresponding to the 3′ primers were synthesized in the anti-sense direction. The underlined sequences at the 5′ end of the oligonucleotides contain restriction endonuclease sites to facilitate cloning.
