  • Inter-event interval is the period between consecutive correlated increases in [Ca2+]i in a small area (<200 μm2) of the retina. Wave speed was measured along a line perpendicular to the wave front (Feller et al., 1997). Initiation interval is the time between wave initiations within the entire imaged region (>1 mm2). For embryonic normal mice and α3−/− mice, the initiation intervals in the presence of curare are also listed.
