Caspase activities, evaluated in vitro on ac-DEVD-AFC, ac-LEHD-AFC, z-VDVAD-AFC, ac-IETD-AFC, and ac-YVAD-AFC substrates, respectively, are expressed in micromoles of AFC released per hour and milligrams of proteins.
