+, CNGA2 knock-out mice were able to detect the stimulus; ±, some CNGA2 knock-out mice were able to detect the stimulus; -, no CNGA2 knock-out mice were capable of detecting the stimulus. Wild-type littermates could detect all odors. The number of mice tested for each odor ranged from two to eight.
