The first column names the constructs injected. The next three columns give data on activation by ACh in terms of the EC50 value provided by a fit of the Hill equation. The three columns headed “5I A85380 response” give data on the response to 1 μm 5I A85380 normalized to the response to 1 mm ACh, for that cell. The columns headed “10 μm 17β-Estradiol” give data for the potentiation by 10 μm 17β-estradiol of a response to a low concentration of ACh; the column headed p gives the probability that the potentiation ratio differs significantly from 1 (no effect), by two-tailed t test.
