  • Adult males were analyzed for behavioral rhythms during LD for at least 7 d. The phase of activity peaks and the anticipation of lights-on during LD cycles were analyzed as described (see Materials and Methods). Total, number of flies analyzed; Morning peak ± SEM, Zeitgeber Time of the morning activity peak ± SEM; Evening peak ± SEM, Zeitgeber Time of the evening activity peak ± SEM; Anticipation index ± SEM, the amount of activity that occurs in anticipation of lights-on ± SEM.

  • *Significantly different (p < 0.001) compared to clock-cell-specific Lar RNAi knockdown and control strains.

  • #Significantly different (p < 0.05) compared to clock-cell-specific Lar RNAi knockdown and control strains.

  • Not different (p ≥ 0.07) than w1118;UAS-LarRNAi/+;+ control.

  • Not different (p = 0.73) than w1118;UAS-LarRNAi/+;+ control.

  • Significantly better anticipation (p = 0.02) than w1118;UAS-LarRNAi/+;+ control.
