The role of MEOX1 in non-neoplastic and neoplastic diseases
2023, Biomedicine and PharmacotherapyCitation Excerpt :It reveals a new mechanism that hMSCs differentiate into osteoblasts. The Gli zinc-finger family members of transcription factors, including Gli1, Gli2, and Gli3, are expressed in developing segments [23]. Gli transcription factors played a role in somite formation [24].

2019, Cell ReportsCitation Excerpt :Intracellularly, Shh signaling is mediated by the Ci/Gli family of transcription factors. There are three homologs of Drosophila Cubitus interruptus (Ci), Gli1–3, in mammals, which are all expressed in the neural tube (Hui et al., 1994; Lee et al., 1997; Ruiz i Altaba, 1998). Gli2 and Gli3 are bifunctional, which work as transcriptional activators in their full-length forms and repressors in their truncated forms.
