BRIEF COMMUNICATIONS
Overview
Brief Communications are short research articles intended to present exciting findings that will have a major impact in neuroscience. Brief Communications are limited to 4,500 words, including the abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, references and figure legends. The total word count must be listed on the title page. Additionally, Brief Communications may include no more than 4 figures and/or tables, which together may occupy no more than one full page. Manuscripts should be organized as described for Regular Manuscripts and the abstract, introduction, and discussion must adhere to the word limits listed for Regular Manuscripts. Authors will be contacted if their manuscript does not conform to these guidelines, and will be asked to reduce the content or reclassify the paper as a Regular Manuscript.
