Cover legend: The hippocampal neuroepithelium of embryonic day 14.5 embryos was electroporated in utero with pCAG-RFP plasmid. Confocal images of the hippocampus were acquired 2 months later (on postnatal day 60). Transfected pyramidal neurons (red) were found in the CA3 and CA1 regions of this hippocampus.
