In the article “The Role of Correlations in Direction and Contrast Coding in the Primary Visual Cortex,” by Fernando Montani, Adam Kohn, Matthew A. Smith, and Simon R. Schultz, which appeared on pages 2338–2348 of the February 28, 2007 issue, two errors were made in transcribing equations. Equation 12 missed a stimulus conditionality and should read Embedded Image and Equation 13 changed the sign of χ and should read Embedded Image Note that these errors were merely typographic and did not reflect the analysis that was actually performed; the results of the study are unaffected.
