Cover legend: Reconstruction of macaque and human cortical surface in the FreeSurfer software. The reconstruction is based on magnetic resonance imaging anatomical images. The red/green overlay shows the pattern of cortical folding in these two primate species (red, sulci; green, gyri). The study by Rajimehr and Tootell in this issue of Journal of Neuroscience reveals a systematic relationship between the cortical folding pattern and retinotopic organization in primate visual cortex: the horizontal meridian of visual field tends to be represented in sulci, whereas the vertical meridian of visual field tends to be represented on gyri. For more information, see the article by Rajimehr and Tootell in this issue (pages 11149–11152).
