Cover legend: Activation of human primary auditory cortex in response to different sound frequencies, ranging from low (20 Hz) to high (8000 Hz), on a red-to-blue color scale. Cortical tonotopic maps were imaged with high-resolution functional magnetic resonance imaging. There is a clear relationship between the functional organization of the auditory cortex and the underlying anatomy of Heschl's gyrus. For more information, see the article by Da Costa et al. in this issue (pages 14067–14075).
