Cover legend: Disrupted-in-schizophrenia 1 (DISC1, red), a risk factor for major psychiatric diseases, is expressed in cortical interneurons (green) during embryonic development, when these cells migrate over long distances to the cortex. Knockdown of DISC1 in vitro or in vivo leads to morphological changes in these neurons and impairs migration. For more information, see the article by Steinecke et al. in this issue (pages 738–745).
