This composite image shows reconstructions of identified interneurons arborizing in the dorsal lobe of the honeybee brain. The three neurons, DL-Int-1 (cyan), DL-Int-2 (magenta) and Bilateral DL-dSEG-LP (yellow) respond with unique patterns to trains of pulse vibration on the antenna and they are considered to play a central role in honeybee auditory processing.
