This image shows embryonic motor cortical neurons (colored) transplanted into the adult mouse motor cortex. Transplanted neurons were organized in the shape of heart. A one-week delay between lesion and transplantation enhances graft vascularization, as well as the survival and proliferation of grafted cells.
