This image shows a degenerating axon (green) in the sciatic nerve of a mouse in which the E3 ubiquitin ligase FBXO7 was knocked out selectively in myelinating glia. In close proximity to the axon is a fibroblast (yellow), indicating the pathological impact that loss of FBXO7 from Schwann cells has on the PNS. For more information, see the article by Joseph et al. (pages 5606–5626).
