About the Cover

This image shows a mouse sitting in a nest. Nest-building is an important maternal behavior regulated by the medial preoptic area (mPOA). Agrp neurons, the quintessential hunger neurons, innervate the mPOA, and activation of Agrp→mPOA projections suppresses maternal nest-building, but not pup retrieval or nest-building in response to cold.
