The image displays selectively transfected pyramidal neurons (pink) in layer 2/3 of medial prefrontal cortex that due to lower expression of Disrupted-In-Schizophrenia1 gene cause abnormal patterns of discontinuous oscillatory activity (white trace and the corresponding wavelet spectrum) at neonatal age.
