About the Cover
Cover image

This image shows the population receptive field (pRF) sizes ranging from 0 (red) to 10 (green) degrees diameter in the early visual cortex of an achromatopsia patient before (up) and after (bottom) gene augmentation therapy. Receptive field sizes decreased following treatment. In the background, rows of circles show probable perception of the D-15 color arrangement test for healthy vision (lower row) and for achromatopsia patient before and after treatment (behind corresponding brain maps). Following treatment, some color specific perception was observed for the red spectrum. For more information, see the article by McKyton et al. (pages 7363–7371).
