In the article, “Genetic Analysis of DSCAM’s Role as a Netrin-1 Receptor in Vertebrates,” by Elena Palmesino, Patrick C. G. Haddick, Marc Tessier-Lavigne, and Artur Kania, which appeared on pages 411–416 of the January 11, 2012 issue, portions of Figure 1 show signs of manipulation in the top left corners. Following a review of the submitted files and the published version, it appears these alterations were introduced during production, likely during resizing of the figure locants. The version of the figure that was accepted by the Editorial Board, which appears below, does not contain the identified duplications.
Given the age of the article, the publisher cannot conclusively determine why or how exactly these edits were introduced. Under current journal policy, JNeurosci does not edit figures at any time, including during production, for any reason. The publisher regrets the error.
