About the Cover

Shown is a coronal section from the superior colliculus of a mouse stained for Cbln2 (green), NPNT (cyan), and Necab1 (white) using in situ hybridization and counterstained with DAPI to target all cell nuclei (blue). Xena Relota and colleagues targeted these genes using this advanced approach to provide new insights on wide-field vertical cells. This cell type is an important model for investigating the relationship between cell structures, functions, and behavioral implications. See the article by Xena J. Relota et al. for more information on their findings, which challenge previous work on superior colliculus wide-field vertical cells. Cover image: Xena Relota.
