F2-a Untransfected or αCaMKII-overexpressing PC12 cells were cultured in NGF (50 nm) in the presence or absence of KN-62 (10 μm). Neurites were analyzed by phase-contrast microscopy after 2 d of differentiation in NGF. Neurite extension was assessed by counting cells with short neurites (length ≤ 1 body diameter) or long neurites (length ≥ 1 cell body diameter); data are expressed as the percentage of total cells with long, short, or no neurites.
