Note. For each patient, test items from the decades indicated were taken to measure either anterograde amnesia (AA) or retrograde amnesia (RA). RA was estimated by using test items that covered either the three decades (A.B. and L.J.) or the four decades (E.P. and G.T.) preceding the onset of amnesia.
