↵F1-a Reversal potentials were determined after subtraction of the predicted coupled transport current from the total current. Recording conditions included various external anions as 10 mm sodium salts in the presence of 90 mmNa+, 1.8 mm Ca2+, 1 mmMg2+, 2 mm K+ as gluconate salts and 5 mm HEPES, pH 7.4. Gluconate−, glutamate−, and F− were tested at 100 mm Na+− salts.PX/PCl was calculated from Erev = (RT/zF)ln(PX[X−]out/PCl[Cl−]in) assuming [Cl−]in of 41 mm.
