  • The frequency of double-labeled cells was quite consistent for the different phenotypic markers among the animals used for this analysis: olfactory bulb, n = 8; hippocampus,n = 10, striatum, n = 10. Double-labeling was assessed by confocal microscopy of randomly selected areas in sections stained with a combination of FITC-, Cy2-, and Cy3-labeled antibodies (see Materials and Methods).
