Nuclear targeting of 4.1N elicits G1 phase arrest and aberrant nuclear morphology in PC12 cells

More than 500 transfected cells were analyzed in each of three independent experiments. Data are presented as the mean ± SEM. Metaphase staging was based on DAPI staining and microtubule morphology. G1 phase was evaluated by cyclin D1 nuclear translocation. Aberrant nuclear morphology was evident as bipartite nuclei with a dumbbell shape.
