  • Mice received a chronic (14 d) administration of vehicle (SAL) or fluoxetine (FLU) and were killed 6 h after the last injection. Levels of β-galactosidase were determined by immunohistochemistry as described in Materials and Methods. Levels of β-galactosidase labeling were quantified by densitometry of digitalized images as described in Materials and Methods. The data are the mean ± SEM;n = 6 separate determinations. *p < 0.05 compared with saline (Kruskal–Wallis).
