  • Proteolytic fragments of the 380 kDa component of band A (Fig. 7) were sequenced by mass spectrometry. For all eight peptides, the sequence was identical to portions of the deduced amino acid sequence of the mouse laminin α5 chain (Miner et al, 1995), suggesting that the 380 kDa component is the bovine laminin α5 chain.
